The Italy of wine is heading towards Germany

If Vinexpo Paris Wine Paris will grow further, as many expect (and as we have reported here), and will become the true international wine fair, la ProWein, in Dusseldorf.

Which has been the case in recent years, and is called to the rescue after a less brilliant 2023 edition than others, a fair could return mainly for the German market (which is, in any case, very important for Italy and beyond), and as a privileged meeting point for many markets in Northern and Eastern Europe. In any case, the German fair, which will open its doors from 10 to 12 March 2024, will still see Italy as the protagonist, with over 1,190 registered exhibitors (however decreasing compared to previous editions), the largest representative ever, followed by France ( 743) and from Germany (708), and from many countries around the world (from Argentina to Armenia, from Bolivia to Brazil, from China to India, Israel to Japan, from Panama to Slovakia, from the United States to Turkey , from the United Kingdom to Venezuela, just to give a few examples). On the other hand, the numbers speak for themselves: Italy’s wine industry is the leading country in volume and value among Germany’s imported wines, with the German country which, for Italian wineries, in the first 11 months of 2023, brought in 1 .1 billion euros, at +3.7% on 2022, according to Istat data analyzed by WineNews.
